Urby LEAFS is a feature within the Urby app to promote the use of sustainable mobility. In addition, sustainable projects are supported within challenges together with the participating employees ("community").
The seventh Urby-LEAFS campaign is gearing up for launch!
The countdown has begun for the next phase of the Urby-LEAFS initiative.

Kick off with enthusiasm on your BIKE4U, make use of the SHUTTLE4U, or take the commuter bus, and earn LEAFS for a good cause. Together, we can reach our goal of planting 4,000 trees to promote more sustainable mobility in Dingolfing. Through this campaign, we support the “Dingolfing Bicycle Workshop,” which offers bicycle repairs and self-help courses for those in need and refugees - because we believe mobility is a human right.

​#LEAFSFORINCLUSION
Playing sports is fraught with challenges for many people with disabilities. Inclusion sports can help reduce the hurdles.
​
What is inclusion sport? It is the joint practice of sports by people with different abilities, i.e. people with and without disabilities, taking into account their individual needs. This is where the non-profit association Achilles International Germany comes in. It enables people with different disabilities to participate in running events, promote personal performance, increase self-esteem and reduce barriers between people with and without disabilities.

Achilles International is a worldwide organization, in 60 countries, whose mission is to enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in running events, promote personal achievement, increase self-esteem and reduce barriers between non-disabled and disabled people.
Running meeting in front of BMW Welt
If you enjoy running and want to get involved socially at the same time, then the Achilles International Germany Munich Inclusive Running Group is the place for you! The running meeting point is directly at BMW Welt and takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Participation in the running group is only possible for runners with a handicap after prior registration.

Second Urby LEAFS challenge: cargo eBikes for Munich.
The goal of 2,000 TREES has been reached and thus the purchase of two cargo eBikes as well as the operation of the fleet will be financed by the BMW Group for another two years.

About Kangaroos
Cargo ebikes are in vogue, especially for short trips in the city. They are the ideal choice for getting goods and heavy loads from A to B quickly in city traffic. With the "Kangaroos", the environmental organization Green City e.V. offers a free rental service of such bicycles for all Munich residents.
General information about Green City e.V.
Together, we are mastering the climate crisis and driving forward the transformation of the city. This is the mission of the non-profit environmental organization Green City e.V. The association has been working for a green, livable and sustainable Munich for over 30 years. Its main focus is on urban mobility, more green in urban areas, education for sustainable development and resource-conserving climate protection.

First successful Urby LEAFS challenge: 15 silver lime trees for Munich.
Together with the City of Munich, the BMW Group has paid for the planting of a total of 15 silver lime trees in the neighborhood. They will grow in a public garden called "Grünanlage Hummelblumenstraße", which is located right next to a kindergarten and also equipped with a playground.
